Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX – OmniVista 4760 Management

Directory Customisation:

Car Registration Numbers -The addition of ‘fields’ such as this would enable the use of the ‘filter feature’ within 4760, e.g. ‘starts with’ or ‘contains’. This is ideal for businesses needing to identify restricted or limited parking spaces.

External Phone numbers - In many organisations a large number of mobile or remote staff will not be within the existing telephone directory structure. By creating new directory entries and structures such as departments and locations from the existing customer data, the capabilities of the system are expanded. These new entries in the directory enable “click to call” to be used for these external numbers.

Creation of Tariff tables:

Tariff tables allow accurate calculation by the 4760 accounting function of call costs and, in turn these call costs can be used to recharge various parts of an organisation. These tables are updated annually to reflect changes in mobile and premium rate numbers and charges.

Report Creation and modification:

The 4760 does provide a large number of standard reports, however these do not always provide the information required or the order in which it is needed. I can provide a service to create and modify reports to give the specific information in the required order.

Call Centre Reporting

Report consolidation:

The standard Call Centre Reports tend to give detailed information over short periods and summary reports over longer time scales for both Standard and Premium Call Centre Software. I can offer specific Excel spreadsheets that consolidate these detailed reports providing daily and monthly summaries including any required detailed fields. 4635 Voice Mail

Mail Box Reporting Tool:

The only function that Alcatel-Lucent provides for obtaining information on the 4635 Voice Mail is the ‘EVA’ tool. This is an engineering tool that produces large amounts of data intended for development engineers. The Mail Box Reporting Tool uses the Eva-Tool engineering output, but extracts information which is useful to a Telecommunications Manager as follows -

There are three types of report available: short, summary or full.

The short report shows only the mail boxes with messages the number of and the total length of these messages.

The summary report includes a breakdown for each individual message showing date and time left, length of the message and, whether it has been read or not. All mail boxes that contain messages are shown.

The full report shows all the mail boxes irrespective of whether they have messages or not.

Hotel Menu Automation

 Residents Reassurance Facility

This is a telephone facility that enables care staff to quickly identify residents that may require assistance, specifically in the mornings. This facility is ‘based on’ the alarm call feature available on the OmniPCX Hotel software package.

All residents that require this facility have an alarm call scheduled ‘automatically’. This call can then be cancelled by the resident using the ‘smiley face’ button on their phone. Should the resident not cancel the alarm call, they will receive an automatic call from the system and, when answering the phone the automatic alarm call is cancelled.

However, should a resident fail to answer or cancel the alarm call, the system will automatically print a list of all alarm calls that have not been responded to, enabling care staff to quickly check the status of vulnerable residents.
